Staying right on the river made our family experience memorable, as we enjoyed listening to the relaxing sounds of the water while munching on fresh omelettes at breakfast. The hotel's location was perfect for catching the bus to Machu Picchu with three teenagers in tow.
My kids wished there were more activities suited for families to keep them entertained during downtime.

During my stay, I loved the hot tub on my private balcony overlooking the river. The location was perfect for accessing Machu Picchu early in the morning. Staff surprised me with a birthday cake at breakfast, showing their attention to detail. The only downside was I couldn't schedule a couple's massage.

Friendly and helpful hotel staff.
I paid a premium for the Suite River View, but there was no hot water for the tub, making my planned relaxation impossible. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable, and I even found mold in the shower, which was quite concerning. For $240 a night, I expected much better cleanliness and amenities, which soured the excitement of my trip.

Great location near the train station made access easy. The restful atmosphere allowed us to enjoy the locally caught fish served during breakfast, a standout meal that pleased our palates. However, be cautious if you're in a room facing the street. train noise is constant and quite loud at night.
